I'm not usually a sucker for UI/UX design, I'm more of a form over function kind of guy, but the amount of differences 1Password offers at a competitive pricing range coupled with it's security and overall company security culture makes this a worthwhile transition. The UI and UX designs are incredible compared to Bitwarden. Outside of that bad experience, once I started using 1Password I realised that I was missing so many quality of life features that comes natively with 1Password. Having to utilize some third-party old CLI tool to get the import to work flawlessly is incredibly jank. I had to delete all of my folders on Bitwarden before importing the CSV would work. I had some initial troubles importing my Password Database from Bitwarden, it's astonishing that 1Password hasn't made it easy for Bitwarden users to migrate over. Out of sheer curiosity, I decided to check out what 1Password has to offer as I've heard they were on par with Bitwarden from a security perspective and in some aspects even better when you consider the Secret Key. ![]() I simply loved everything it did and respected it's security practices. I've been a Bitwarden Evangelist for over 5 years now.
